From the beginning of conception in 1976, Help Ministries Incorporated has brought together a network of volunteers and people to fulfill the Great Commission: "Go ye into all the world

and preach the gospel.." The gospel means good news.

The ability to create the energy towards fulfilling our part of the Great Commission, and accomplish the dream and vision, came through those involved in Help Ministries Incorporated and the listening radio audience in the United States and Canada.

It was not until 1991 the dream expanded to Romania and an application to broadcast was filed. Through a process of time, much paper work, and construction of new studios, SOS Radio (101.7 fm) signed onto the air on October 1st, 1994.

With 24 hours of good news and music, 101.7 fm has been a favorite spot on the dial. Everyday it is a source of comfort and companionship for those in a country of change. For over 40 years, Romania was held in the grip of communism. In 1989, communism fell-opening the door to a nation pleading for help. Help Ministries arrived through the love and compassion of caring people and continues to provide many avenues of ministry to those in need.

On August 1, 2004 SOS Radio expanded it's outreach and SOS 87.7 fm signed on the air in Beclean, Romania. An overwhelming response to the programming has given it tremendous influence in another entire area of Romania.
